    How We Work With You

    ARTWORK  If you submit artwork to us, please be sure to use true black and white vector art graphics (not just shades of gray). Vector art has very crisp, clean edges and has usually been created by a graphic designer. Our formats of choice are .EPS (encapsulated postscript), .ai (Adobe Illustrator) or .cdr (Corel Draw).  Of course, we will let you know in advance of any additional charges, but please note that if any manipulation, alteration or generation of new artwork is necessary, there may be an additional art fee up to $35.00 (our graphic designers hate working for free).  Also, in order to ensure the highest quality imprinting, we reserve the right to make the final determination of whether artwork is ready to process.     ENGRAVING CHARGES  We don’t charge you for set-up of standard text engraving.  We also don’t charge you for set-up of basic layout, so long as you supply us with approved artwork (see “Artwork” above).


    FONT STYLES  We recommend you let our team of artists choose the fonts.  But by all means, let us know if you have a definite preference when you place your order.  We have plenty of font styles available to us.


    COLOR FILL  Beauty has a price, but we try to keep it down. For color we charge an additional $7.00 per piece.


    GRAPHICAL PROOFS   We don’t charge you for proofs. Make sure your text submissions are spell checked and free of other errors and omissions before sending them to us.  We’ll send a final graphical proof back to you for your final approval, and only when you give us the thumbs up will we personalize or engrave your order.


    MERCHANDISE EXCHANGE AND RETURN  Unless your name is Wilbur, no one wants an award that says “Wilbur Is No. 1.”  You understand our products are personalized and customized, so please understand we can not accept any returns unless the merchandise is defective.  Any errors or omissions approved by you are NOT considered a defect (see “Graphical Proofs” above).  Once your order is in production, we can not refund your money.  Your order is deemed to be in production as soon as you sign off on the final proof (see “Graphical Proofs” above).


    BLANK SAMPLE REQUEST  Want to check out a blank sample before you commit to a custom order?  No problem.  Just ask us to ship you a blank sample.  We’ll have to charge you for the sample merchandise and applicable shipping charges, but we’ll gladly issue you a full refund (less applicable shipping charges) if you return the sample to us within 30 days of your receipt, in the same packaging and condition.  Please know we will not issue a refund after 30 days.


    PACKAGING  We package each award in a nifty presentation box that protects the award during shipping.  The box comes in handy after presentation of the award as well.


    PRODUCTION TIME  Unless you twist our arm, our standard lead time for most orders is 7-10 business days from the date your order is placed to the day it arrives in your hands.


    RUSH ORDERS  Of course we can move faster.  And we won’t even charge you more, other than the cost of expedited shipping of your order to our etching facility.  We might even be able to complete your custom order within just a couple of days.  Every order is unique, however, so please contact us for details.


    SHIPPING  If you choose to ship your items by standard ground delivery, your items should arrive within 7-10 business days of your order, subject to stock availability.  If you need your items faster, express shipping is also available.

                            UPS GROUND SHIPPING FROM FLORIDA

    DROP SHIPPING  For all orders shipped to a single destination, shipping and handling charges are included.  But if you need your order shipped to multiple destinations, we ask that you provide us with pre-printed shipping labels and pay an additional service fee of $10 per shipment.   


    CLAIMS POLICY  We always go the extra mile and exceed UPS packaging standards to ensure your order arrives in one piece.  But crystal and other types of awards are delicate, and unfortunately they sometimes break during shipping.  If this should happen to you, we are very sorry and will do our best to provide you with a replacement order. Please help us make things right by doing the following:

    Call us within 5 business days of receipt at 1-800-826-4987.  So that we can initiate a claim, we will ask you to describe the damage to both the outside shipping box and the merchandise.

    Please do NOT dispose of the shipping box, wrappings or broken contents.  Depending on the extent of the damage, it might be necessary to permit an inspection by UPS or other delivery carrier, or to return the damaged items back to us.  We will provide you with further instructions when you call.

    Rest assured, all shipments originating from Big Head Awards are insured and we will do everything possible to replace the damaged item(s) at no charge to you.  Please know, however, that your cooperation with our claims policy will be required to avoid additional charges and ensure replacement of your order.


    PAYMENT TERMS  We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express, as well as money orders, cashier’s checks and corporate checks.  For your protection, we ask that you do not submit your credit card information by email.  If you choose to pay by credit card, please call in or fax your card information to us. When providing credit card information, please include your order number if you already have one, the type of card, the card number, the expiration date and your full name and billing address as it appears on the card.  Rest assured that any information regarding your account information as well as authorized signatures will be maintained securely and in complete confidence.  Your credit card will be charged the full amount of your order only at the time your order is placed in production and deemed final (see “Merchandise Exchange and Return” above).


    PRIVACY POLICY Big Head Awards collects personal information directly from individuals who volunteer to use some of our services. Collection of this information is required to deliver the specific services such as fulfillment and completion of your order, but use of these services is voluntary. The information we automatically collect or store is used to improve the content of our web services and to help us understand how people are using our services. This information does not identify you personally and is used for gathering web site statistics. The information we automatically collect and store in our logs about your visit helps us to analyze our web site to continually improve the value of the materials available. Our web site logs do not identify a visitor by personal information, and we make no attempt to link other web sites with the individuals that browse this web site. This site may provide or distribute certain lists and statistical reports of regulatory information as provided by law, but no personal information is sold or distributed, and all relevant legal protections still apply to this web site.
